Volunteer – Board of Directors
Span Community House is currently seeking expressions of interest from those who wish to give back to the community by actively assisting a not-for-profit neighbourhood house as a general board member. Board positions are voluntary positions.
The Board of Directors are responsible for the governance of Span, ensuring that our organisation meets all legal requirements and remains accountable to its donors, funders, stakeholders and the community.
Board members must undertake a police check, complete a board nomination form and volunteer application form.
Board members are asked to volunteer for approximately six hours per month. Tasks include reading monthly reports, attending and contributing to monthly board meetings, assisting on a subcommittee or in another area depending on your area of expertise.
Please contact the manager at Span Community House for further details. firstname.lastname@example.org or 9480 1364.

Newton Street Community Garden.
Darebin Council, together with 3000 acres and Span Community House Inc., invite you to take part in designing the Newton Street Community Garden.
This project aims to transform an underutilised piece of land into a great community space – where you’ll be welcomed to share your knowledge, develop new skills and meet new people.
On Thursday 15th of November we welcome YOU, our community, to drop in for afternoon tea and to provide input into the look and feel of the garden, what will be planted and the design of a sign.
There’ll be interactive activities and free herbs to take away.
Children are welcome!
