Breadtags for Good

Span Community House is now an official collection hub for Aussie Breadtags for Wheelchairs (ABfW) and would love others in the Network to join us by setting up local connections at other Houses.

ABfW are based in South Australia and the basic process to achieve positive environmental and social outcomes goes something like this… People collect and send breadtags to them, they work with a local recycling business to reuse and repurpose the plastics into beautiful items that are sold, some of the profit goes back to ABfW, they buy wheelchairs through a charity partner in South Africa. So many wins!

A special collection box can be collected from Span to do this at your House, or when we’re back to meeting in real life, the boxes can be brought along to pass on in person. If you are keen to get collecting, please contact Julie @ Span to get the ball rolling!
