The Hub @ Northland have a Rainbow Lounge for young LGBTIQ+ people (12-18yrs), their friends and allies every Tuesday evening from 4.00 – 5.30pm.

They are relaunching the program post lockdown. It’s a really exciting time for young people to join the program as they’ll get to shape and design the program to what they are interested in.

They are also on the look out for a couple of passionate and skilled young people (12-18 yrs) who might be interested in taking on a leadership role within the program, running workshops and sharing their skills with the group. For the right person there is the opportunity to be paid for this role. If you know anyone who you think would be a great fit for this opportunity, please put them in contact with Kate Halstead, Community Service Support Officer, Darebin Youth Services kate.halstead@darebin.vic.gov.au

Young people don’t have to sign up for the program they can just rock up from 4.00 pm on Tuesday at the Hub. If they have any questions about the program, contact Kate for information.

At The Hub they support young people with employment and training opportunities as well as being a safe space with lots of fun activities like a music studio, gaming, a pool table, kitchen and shower facilities for anyone experiencing homelessness. They can help connect young people with other services where required as well.  Young People can drop in and hang out from Tues – Friday, 12.00 -5.00 pm.
