International Compost Awareness Week Australia (ICAW), is a week of activities, events and publicity to improve awareness of the importance of compost, a valuable organic resource and to promote compost use, knowledge and products. We can compost to help scrap carbon pollution by avoiding landfilling organic materials and helping to build healthier soils.

This is the perfect timing for Span’s first workshop in the Sustainability Workshop Series. The first workshop will be on Saturday 8th May, with two more on Saturday 12th May and Saturday 19th Jun. These workshops are free to attend and a great way to learn and connect with people in our community.

Workshop 1 – Avoiding and managing food waste – Saturday 8th May @ 1.30pm – 3.00pm
In this workshop we’ll learn about:

– Why it’s important to avoid food waste
– How not to waste food @ home
