Kaleidoscopic Upcycling Exhibition @ Glimpse Art Space

273 High Street, Northcote (near the intersection with Mitchell Street)

Saturday 30 April to Friday 20 May 2022

You can view this free exhibition at any time, 24/7

This body of work has been created by Art for All Abilities, a truly inclusive art program running out of Span Community House in Clyde Street, Thornbury.

The 15 artists represented in this display have used upcycled green suspension files, combined with yellow, blue and white acrylic paint, wooden cheese wheels and other upcycled surfaces, to create these vibrant collages and paintings. Each one so different. Each one so beautiful. An ever-changing variety of colours and forms, representative of our unique abilities.

Facilitated by artist Sheena Mathieson and supported by dedicated volunteers and support workers (who themselves produce artworks and learn about art alongside those they support), Art for All Abilities at Span has developed a reputation for embedding the vital elements of choice and control, inclusion, independence and respect for individuality and each person’s creativity.
