Join us to be a hard rubbish hero!

Span have partnered with Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes (DHRH) and Transition Darebin as part of our RRR Hub initiative to set up this very special experiment…

A pop-up shop that offers free and low-priced items, and includes upcycling, recycling collections and workshops.

This is all aimed at helping us avoid items ending up in landfill as ‘hard rubbish season’ runs in Darebin.

Introducing…

The DHRH reLOVE Pop-up – keeping preloved in use!
Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes’ (DHRH) first reLOVE pop-up shop opened on Saturday, 4 June at 684 High Street Thornbury.

The shop is open 10am – 4pm Wednesday to Saturday , and 10am – 2pm Sunday, each week, until until 30 July.

The reLOVE Pop-up is volunteer lead and run, and is providing an alternative to items being put out for hard rubbish collection and going to landfill.

Proceeds from sales will help pay rent and utilities while the shop is running. Any extra generated will go towards future Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes’ events, which include raising funds for local charities.

Reuse & Recycle…

There is a collection station in place at the shop for you to drop off items for for reuse and recycling through our project here at Span.

The list of items to be taken at the shop can be found on the DHRH info page
