Each day thousands of families are forced to flee their homes and leave everything behind. People like you, people like me. World Refugee Day is June 20. On this day, the world stands together to celebrate the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees.
Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to raise awareness about refugees and to celebrate the contributions made by refugees to Australian society. It was initiated by the Refugee Council of Australia and is held every year in June to coincide with World Refugee Day on 20 June.
